RE Himalayan 452 specs revealed, gets a new 451.65cc liquid cooled engine

RE Himalayan 452 specs have now been officially revealed ahead of the bike’s official launch. The bike will be available in five colour options – Hanle Black, Kamet White, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue and Kaza Brown.

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is powered by a 451.65cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder engine producing 40.02 PS at 8000 RPM and 40 Nm torque at 5500 RPM. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. Idle RPM is 1300 RPM.

It is equipped with 43 mm upside down fork up front with 200 mm of wheel travel and linkage type monoshock at the rear with 200 mm wheel travel. Front tyre is a 90/90-21 unit while the rear is a 140/80-17. Braking duties come from 320 mm disc at the front with double piston calliper and 270 mm disc at the rear with single piston calliper. Equipped with dual channel ABS which is switchable.

Let’s talk about the dimensions of the new Himalayan 452. It has a length of 2245 mm, 852 mm width, 1316 mm height and 1510 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is 230 mm while seat height ranges from 805 mm to 825 mm with its adjustability. 17-litres of fuel tank capacity. 181 kg of dry weight and 196 kg kerb weight.

The bike gets an all-new 4-inch digital instrument cluster which has a TFT display with phone connectivity. Navigation is powered by Google Maps and it also gets media controls. The bike comes with ride modes – Eco, Performance (ABS on) and Performance (ABS off). Gets USB C charging port as well.
