Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Touring Variant Spotted Testing, Reveals Several Production-Ready Elements
The Himalayan 750 is among the most anticipated motorcycles from Royal Enfield, spied several times during development. A recent prototype revealed fresh details about the model. Most notably, this version hinted at a road-focused variant.
Styling
The motorcycle borrows the circular TFT instrument cluster from the Himalayan 450. Carrying a tall fairing and round headlamp, it. The design indicates a completely new approach compared to the currently sold Himalayan 450.
Its wheels are the biggest highlight of the prototype. For the first time, the Himalayan 750 was seen with cast alloy wheels. This strongly suggests Royal Enfield will offer multiple variants, including road-focused and off-road-oriented options.
Wheels & Braking
The road-oriented variant could feature a 17-inch wheel setup, enhancing its highway performance and everyday usability. Other visible elements include a split-seat design and LED lighting. An upswept exhaust and dual-disc brakes with dual-channel ABS were also spotted.
Suspension
The Himalayan 750 will ride on a new chassis and subframe, separate from the Himalayan 450. USD forks up front will handle suspension duties. A rear monoshock setup adds to its modern equipment list.
Engine
The motorcycle will be powered by a new 750cc parallel-twin engine. This could be an enlarged version of the existing 650cc twin. While figures are unconfirmed, output is expected to cross 50bhp with ample torque.
Expected Features
Traction control and selectable ride modes could be included as rider aids. These features would make it Royal Enfield’s most advanced adventure machine. The prototypes already closely resemble production-ready form.
Expected Launch Date
Royal Enfield could officially unveil the Himalayan 750 at EICMA later this year. Other models, like the Flying Flea, may also debut. The reports also suggest the brand showcasing a possible electric Himalayan alongside.
