Royal Enfield Super Meteor
Royal Enfield has resurrected the Super Meteor moniker for the new bike

The Royal Enfield Super Meteor will be unveiled by late November at the EICMA show

Royal Enfield is likely to name its new 650cc cruiser the ‘Super Meteor’ and officially unveil it at the 2021 EICMA show scheduled for 23rd to 28th November in Italy.

Until now, Royal Enfield was expected to use the Shotgun moniker for the middleweight cruiser motorcycle, the trademark for which was applied back in April this year.

While the bike will be revealed in November, its launch is set to take place in India by early 2022 and it is likely to be positioned above the current 650 twins from the brand – the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

The brand’s 650cc platform has been well-accepted the world over

The Royal Enfield Super Meteor will borrow the 648cc parallel twin from the above-mentioned bikes. It should produce 47 HP and 52 Nm and be paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

Featuring retro-inspired styling, the middleweight cruiser bike will come with a circular headlamp, twin dials, one of which should be used for the Tripper navigation assist, teardrop shape fuel tank, comfy seats, circular taillight and long fenders.

The bike will sport inverted front fork, twin rear shocks, twin exhausts, a disc brake on each rim and alloy wheels. Expect the switchgear to be shared with the other 650cc models from Enfield and the cruiser bike should have dual channel ABS too.
