The Skoda Karoq is a mid-sized SUV that is positioned below the Skoda Kodiaq and is on sale in the international markets. After spotting the camouflaged test mules of the Karoq in India, it has finally been revealed at the ongoing biennial event. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 25 lakhs.

The Czech carmaker had confirmed the launch of the Karoq in India a few months back. It will be initially imported to India via the CBU route and the launch is scheduled for April.

In terms of styling, it carries the same DNA of Skoda SUVs and looks familiar to the Kodiaq but in a smaller form. The front profile gets the large butterfly signature grille along with split headlights. The side profile is neat and carries a strong shoulder line while the rear gets C-shaped tail lights.

The Skoda Karoq comes with a simple interior layout as well. It has a huge touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster which is also known as Virtual Cockpit. There is a familiar 3-spoke steering wheel.

The Karoq will be offered with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine option in India which is good for 150 BHP. It will compete with the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, etc.
