Skoda will now offer a Virtual Cockpit on the top-spec Octavia in India.
Skoda will now offer a Virtual Cockpit in the top-spec Octavia Laurin & Klement variant. However, the company has not yet officially announced this feature to be available in India. But a few top-spec Octavia have already been spied at many dealers with the Virtual Cockpit.
The Octavia’s Virtual Cockpit will replace the traditional analog dials. It features a large high-definition TFT screen with different layout options. This unit allows the user to set navigation, entertainment, trip and driving assist information on the screen. The steering mounted controls allow the user to select from the different display options and control zoom functions on the map.
This feature is presently available in the Octavia sold internationally. The Superb and the Kodiaq also get equipped with the Virtual Cockpit in the international market.
In the coming future, we can expect Skoda’s flagship sedan and the SUV to come equipped with the Virtual Cockpit. It is also expected that the upcoming Skoda Karoq will get the Virtual Cockpit.
