The 125cc scooter segment will soon be getting a new entrant in the form of the Suzuki Burgman Street. While the launch is scheduled for 19th July, 2018, the price of the scooter has leaked. The Suzuki Burgman Price is likely to start at Rs. 68,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). Suzuki showrooms have already begun putting the scooter on display. The Burgman Street 125 can now be booked for Rs. 5000/-. The Mumbai prices are yet to be known but expect the cost to be a little higher.

Globally, a version of the Suzuki Burgman is already on sale. The Indian version however will be smaller in size than its elder sibling. The Burgman Street will come with a ton of features including an all-LED headlamp, a fully-digital instrument cluster, LED tail lamps and a generous amount of storage space. The main attraction though will be the fact that it will be India’s first maxi-styled scooter with its imposing front apron and an overall bulky design.

Powering the Burgman Street will be an Access 125 sourced 124.3cc motor producing 8.6 HP at 6500 RPM and 10.2 Nm at 5000 RPM. Braking duties will be performed by a disc at the front and a drum unit at the rear. Combined braking system (CBS) comes as standard as the scooter is an all new product. The CBS will lead to the rider’s action of depressing one of the brake levers getting applied on both front and rear brakes.

The Suzuki Burgman Street was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo earlier this year. It will compete with the sporty Aprilia SR 125, the Honda Grazia and the TVS Ntorq 125, which have prices beginning at around Rs. 65,000/-(on-road, Mumbai).
