Suzuki is set to launch the long promised 250cc Gixxer in India.

2019 Suzuki Gixxer 250
The Gixxer 250 is likely to get faired as well as naked versions

Suzuki is going to reveal their upcoming 250cc motorcycle in early 2019. The bike is most likely to be launched as Gixxer 250 and is Suzuki’s first attempt at the quarter-litre segment in India.

It is being speculated that the bike will be on the same platform as the Gixxer 150. Which means that there is a high possibility of Suzuki launching a faired and a naked version of the bike. It will be competing with the likes of Yamaha FZ25 and the Pulsar 220F. The naked version is most likely to get launched first, similar to the way the Gixxer 150’s variants were launched. (Although we hope the amount of time is not as much!)

There are talks in the wind about the Gixxer 250 being designed after the Houje 300, which is the bike seen in the images on this page. The Haojue is powered by a single-cylinder engine, which suggests that the Gixxer will have a similar power-house of near 250cc capacity. It is also said that the bike will get an oil-cooler paired with an air-cooler instead of a full blown liquid-cooling system in order to keep the prices under check.

Suzuki will reveal the Gixxer 250 in the January of 2019. Hence, there is a high possibility of the bike being launched in in the first half of the year itself. Our best guess is that the prices will be in a similar ballpark compared to the competition.
