Tata Curvv Prototype Spotted

Tata Curvv design details revealed in latest spy images of the prototype

Tata Motors is extensively testing the Curvv ahead of its 2024 debut, the new SUV coupe design will be the first of its kind for the Indian carmaker. The latest spy shots exhibit more details of the exterior styling.

The front profile reveals a sharp design with a muscular clamshell bonnet, connected LED DRL strip while the main headlight is positioned on the bumper just like the new Tata Nexon facelift. While both the cars are based on the same platform and will share a lot of parts together, we can expect some changes to differentiate the two products from the front profile.

Until the B-pillar, the Tata Curvv will look similar to the Nexon but beyond that there is a different design altogether. The steeply raked roof blends seamlessly with the tail section. Because of the sloping roofline, there is no rear quarter glass. The tail lights look sleek and sporty. It carries the same look that was revealed in a concept form at the 2023 Auto Expo.

The interior is expected to get the same layout as the Nexon and the feature list too is expected to be the same. It will be interesting to see the space management for rear passengers with this SUV coupe design. Usually the headroom gets compromised with this kind of a design.

It is expected to borrow the same engine options from the Tata Nexon – 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 120 HP and 170 Nm torque and 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 HP and 160 Nm of torque.

There will be an electric version as well. In the Nexon, the electric powertrain is available in Medium Range and Long Range variants. Medium Range produces 129 HP and 215 Nm torque and the Long Range version produces 142 HP and 215 Nm of torque. They offer an ARAI claimed range of 325 km and 465 km respectively.

Tata Motors recently trademarked the name Azura and we believe the production name for the Curvv will be Tata Azura.
