Zoomcar will now offer the Tata Nano for rent with a big price cut. This will certainly boost the visibility of the rental car company drastically.

Tata Nano Twist User Experience
At Rs. 19/- per hour, the Tata Nano is available at a very cheap price for self drive

David Back and Greg Moran officially launched Zoomcar in Bangalore in 2013 as India’s first 100% self-drive rental car company. It allows users to rent cars by the hour, day, week or month. They started the operation with a fleet of just 7 cars. Today they operate in Bangalore, Pune and Delhi NCR. They have a fleet of more than 1000 cars spread across the three cities. These cars include the Reva e2o, Ford Figo, Honda Amaze, Honda City, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV500, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, GLA and BMW 3-Series.

The latest addition to this fleet is the cheapest car in the world, the Tata Nano. Zoomcar recently partnered to add 50 brand new Nanos to their ever growing fleet in Bangalore. The Nano is powered by a 624cc, twin-cylinder engine producing 38 PS of power and 51 Nm of torque. This allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of 105 km/hr. Until now, the Ford Figo was the cheapest conventional car in the fleet with hourly rates starting from Rs. 80/- per hour. But all that is about to change this summer.

Starting this month, Zoomcar is offering the Tata Nano for rent and prices start at just Rs. 19 per hour which makes it cheaper than the Reva e2o as well. This unprecedented cut in prices comes into effect for customers in Bangalore and will make travelling cheaper than an auto, it also promotes self driving. This move was carried out because Zoomcar believe that they are many people, especially college students, who like to travel short distances like nearby getaways during summer.

Whatever may be the reasons, this move is a boon to the people of Bangalore as it allows them to travel as they please at cheap rates without having to rely upon public transport while also staying away from mostly unruly auto drivers.
