Tata Nexon XM(S)
The new trim offers more convenience features along with electric sunroof

After a couple of teasers, Tata Motors has finally introduced a new variant of the Nexon. The Tata Nexon XM (S) comes with a starting price of Rs. 8.36 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The XM (S) trim is positioned between the XM and XZ trims. It is Rs. 52,000/- more expensive over the XM variant. It comes with a few more goodies including an electric sunroof!

Yes, the electric sunroof is the main highlight of XM (S). The addition of this variant makes the Tata Nexon the most affordable car with a sunroof in India, undercutting the Honda Jazz by Rs. 37,400/-.

Apart from the electric sunroof, the Nexon XM (S) comes with Automatic Headlamps, Rain Sensing Wipers and Steering Mounted Controls. These features are not offered in the XM trim.

It continues to get features like Electronic Stability Program, LED DRLs with Projector Headlamps, Driver and Co-Driver Airbags, Hill Hold Control, ConnectNext Infotainment System by Harman and Multi-Drive Modes (Eco, City and Sport).

With the introduction of this new trim, Tata Motors is preparing for the festive season and the growing list of rivals that will include the new Kia Sonet which will be launched on 18th September and Toyota Urban Cruiser that will hit the showrooms in a few days.

The Tata Nexon currently competes against the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. The compact SUV space is now getting very crowded in India.
