Tata Safari facelift teased with new styling

Tata Motors have teased the new Safari facelift which is set to go on sale later this month. The official bookings will commence on 6th October. Dealers started accepting bookings of the updated Harrier and Safari a few days back unofficially.

Soon after the Harrier facelift teaser, Tata Motors released the Safari facelift teaser. Both the SUVs will hit the showrooms this festive season and will get some visual tweaks as well as new features on offer.

The Safari facelift looks more premium with a new front fascia. The SUV gets a redesigned grille with a new pattern, connected LED DRL bar up front, new headlight setup on the refreshed bumper and the new gold colour which is also seen in the Harrier facelift teaser.

The Safari will also get newly designed alloy wheels and updated rear profile with new bumper and tail lights that are connected with an LED bar. The updated model is also getting sequential turn indicators that we spotted on a prototype. The overall design is more or less the same but these styling changes will make it look fresh.

Interior will be updated with a new dashboard design having new colour tones and touch sensitive buttons in the centre console. The steering wheel has been replaces with a new 4-spoke unit which comes with the illuminated Tata logo.

Tata Motors will be offering more features with the updated SUVs and new colour options for the upholstery. There will be no mechanical changes on the facelifted models.

The Indian carmaker will continue to offer the 2.0-litre diesel engine which produces 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. It will be available with the same 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.

There are speculations about a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine but we believe there is still time for this new engine option. Tata Motors is also developing the all-electric version of the Safari with an expected range of up to 500 km on full charge. The EV will not make it to the showroom anytime soon.
