Tata Motors has left no stone unturned at the Tata Altroz launch, where they introduced Nexon, Tigor and Tiago facelifts as well. The Tiago has been priced from Rs. 4.60 lakhs (ex-showroom). The bookings are open and deliveries will commence soon.
The hatchback gets a new front fascia inspired by the Tata Altroz getting a sharp headlight cluster and a new grille along with new bumpers. The Tiago looks quite striking in this new yellow colour option. The rear gets new bumper design and new tail lights.
The Tiago facelift is available in 5 colour options – Deep Red, Pearlescent White, Pure Silver, Daytona Grey and Arizona Blue.
The interior comes with new upholstery, new flat bottom steering wheel and 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Some of the features include 8-speaker Harman surround sound audio system, smart key with push button start/stop, fully digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, reverse parking assist with camera, etc.
In terms of safety, both the Tiago and Tigor have managed to score 4-star safety rating at the latest Global NCAP crash tests. The car has scored 12.52 out of 17 in adult occupant protection while 34.15 out of 49 for child occupant protection. Tiago comes with dual front airbags, ABS, EBD and cornering stability control as standard across all variants.
There is no diesel engine option on offer and the Tiago facelift only comes with a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 86 PS at 6000 RPM and 113 Nm at 3300 RPM, mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
