A single test mule of the Tata Tiago limited edition has been spotted testing. The Tiago limited edition will be based on the XT variant and not the top-end XZ variant. A launch time-frame for the vehicle hasn’t been given out yet but we expect Tata to launch the edition ahead of the upcoming festive season.

The spotted test mule features steel wheels, blackened roof and black ORVM housings. Tata has also dropped the XT badge and added the ‘wizz’ and ‘Limited Edition’ badges to this model. The limited edition Tiago also has some changes to the interior. It loses out on the electrically-operated ORVMs and passenger side vanity mirror but gets a tweaked dashboard with the centre fascia finished in Piano Black and Berry Red highlights. This variant also gets new seat covers.

Under the hood, the Tata Tiago limited edition will house the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.05-litre diesel engines like the regular variants. However, the automaker is yet to confirm this. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Revotron petrol motor makes 85 HP of power and 114 Nm of torque while the 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder, Revotorq diesel motor makes 70 HP and 140 Nm of torque. Both these engines come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the petrol engine also gets an AMT.
