Tata Motors launched the Tiago NRG today and next up the automaker will launch the JTP versions of the Tiago and Tigor in India. JTP stands for Jayem Tata Performance and these cars will start arriving in showrooms next month onwards.

The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP were showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and drew a lot of eyeballs. These are performance-oriented cars and come powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine putting out 110 PS and 150 Nm. This engine will get a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The JTP siblings also get lots of cosmetic enhancements that differentiate these cars from there regular counterparts. The bumpers get a sportier design while there are other sporty touches like side skirts, faux vents and diffuser, 15-inch alloys, black roof and twin exhaust tips.

The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are going to be very interesting propositions for our market because these cars will be priced aggressively and hence they’ll garner significant attention from enthusiasts. We expect the JTP versions to be priced around Rs. 1 lakh more than their regular top-end variants.
