Tata has launched an updated model of the Tigor EV which now offers a range of 213 kms.
Tata Motors had launched the Tigor EV earlier but the vehicle was called out because it offered a very limited range. Now, the automaker has launched an updated version of the vehicle and it is said to offer a range of 213 kms (ARAI-claimed).
The updated Tata Tigor EV comes in 3 variants – XE+, XM+ and XT+ and it is offered to both fleet buyers as well as private customers. The vehicle qualifies for FAME 2 and it is priced from Rs. 9.44 lakhs (ex-showroom) after deducting all the government subsidies.
The automaker claims that the updated EV offers better range and low cost of ownership. On the outside, the Tigor EV comes with body decals, tweaked grille, and a shark fin antenna. The cabin gets a black and grey layout, Harman audio system, fabric seat covers, and a height adjustable driver’s seat.
The Tigor EV gets a 21.5 kWh battery pack along with a battery cooling system to ensure performance in different temperature conditions. The vehicle comes with 2 charging ports, one each for fast charging and slow AC charging. The car gets a warranty of 3 years/1.25 lakh kms.
The new Tigor EV without the government subsidies is priced at Rs. 13.09 lakhs for the XE+, Rs. 13.26 lakhs for the XM+ and Rs. 13.41 lakhs for the XT+ trim (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
