The top 10 2-wheeler sales for April 2017 list sees Honda making its foray into the top 5 with the CB Shine that outsold the Hero Passion for the first time ever.

Top 10 Bike Sales For April 2017

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India and Hero MotoCorp continue to dominate the top 10 bike sales chart for the month of April 2017 too with the Honda Activa at the number 1 position selling 3,12,632 units and leaving the Hero Splendor behind by a big margin.

Hero sold a total of 2,26,681 Splendors in April 2017, thereby falling behind by over 85,000 units. Hero has been consistently selling 2 lakh Splendors every month and it will be interesting to see what strategy will they adopt to increase the sales of the bike. The third position is still being held by Hero’s entry level commuter motorcycle, the HF Deluxe which sold 1,43,794 units in April.

For the first time ever, we get to witness another Honda product in the top 5 list and it’s the CB Shine that outsold the Hero Passion thereby clinching the fourth spot. The CB Shine sold 1,00,824 units in April 2017 v/s 68,328 in March 2017 thereby posting a growth of over 45 percent. The Hero Passion now sits in the fifth spot selling 80,053 units in the last month.

The top 10 list for March had the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Hero’s top selling scooter, the Maestro, which have disappeared from the April list. The TVS XL Super has slipped from the fifth spot to the eighth spot selling 57,938 units in April. Hero’s Glamour moves 2 ranks up by selling 62,713 units and positioning itself at the sixth spot while the TVS Jupiter holds on to the seventh spot selling 58,527 units in the previous month.

The April list also sees Bajaj’s Pulsar and CT 100 being positioned at the ninth and tenth ranks respectively. Bajaj sold 50,219 units of the Pulsar which includes the entire range and 45,003 units of CT 100.
