Triumph’s products sold relatively well in May

Royal Enfield’s 650 twins led the May 2021 performance bike sales

Sales of performance motorcycles in May 2021, like several other bike segments, went down and yet, Royal Enfield’s 650 twins managed to hold on to the top spot.

The twin cylinder bikes from Enfield found 327 buyers this past month, way ahead of second-placed Triumph Trident which registered sales of 36 units.

It is among 5 motorcycles from the British brand that made it to the May 2021 performance bike sales. In third place came the Bonneville T120 from Triumph with 19 unit sales.

Kawasaki’s top-seller in May this year was its litre-class superbike, the ZX-10R, for it found 12 new homes, while both third-generation Suzuki Hayabusa and Triumph Street Twin registered sales of 11 units.

Eighth-placed Triumph Tiger motorcycles found 9 takers this past month, while the Kawasaki Z900 (6 units) and Honda Africa Twin (4 units) completed the top 10 May 2021 performance bike sales list.
