Vehicles in the top 6 positions did well this past month

UV sales in March 2021 did not throw any surprises as the top 2 Maruti products – the Eeco and Ertiga – retained their positions.

Maruti sold 11,547 units of the Eeco, and 9303 units of the Ertiga this past month and both registered commendable year-on-year (YoY) growth percentages.

Relegating the Toyota Innova Crysta (5743 units) to fourth place, the Mahindra Bolero (8905 units) climbed a spot in March.

In fifth place sits the best-selling Renault, the Triber, which found 4133 homes this past month, with a 151 percent YoY growth.

Then comes the Maruti XL6 with 3062 units, which was the last vehicle in the March 2021 UV sales chart to register a decent sales figure. That is because vehicles occupying the last 4 positions in the UV sales list did not post big figures.

The Mahindra Marazzo could only find 255 buyers this past month, followed by the Toyota Vellfire (65 units), Kia Carnival (45 units) and finally, the Datsun GO+ (30 units).

Many utility vehicles posted high YoY sales growth in March. All of the Maruti products did well, so did the Mahindra Bolero (328 percent growth YoY), Innova (51 percent) and the Triber, as mentioned above.

In all, the combined sales figure of the vehicles in the list comes in at 43,088 units, which is a 106 percent growth over March last year.
