Toyota had launched the Fortuner BS6 in February 2020 but the SUV’s prices were kept unchanged back then. Now, the Japanese automaker has hiked the prices of the Fortuner BS6 by Rs. 48,000/-. In 2019, Toyota was claiming that the Fortuner will get pricier by Rs. 4-5 lakhs for the BS6 version. The Toyota Fortuner BS6 price hike is applicable to every variant in the line-up.

The 2020 Toyota Fortuner BS6 is offered with 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engines. Both the engines can be had with a manual or automatic transmission but 4×4 is offered only with the diesel engine. The petrol engine delivers 166 PS and 245 Nm while the diesel engine churns out 177 PS and 420 Nm (MT) or 450 Nm (AT).

The Toyota Fortuner petrol is offered with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic unit while the diesel engine gets either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. The Toyota Fortuner competes against the Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas G4 and it has always been the undisputed king when it comes to sales.
