Months after the introduction of the 2-wheel drive Fortuner Legender, Toyota has decided to offer the SUV in 4×4 form come October.

The stylish variant of the popular premium SUV was introduced earlier this year when the Japanese carmaker launched the facelifted version of the Fortuner.

Toyota pitched the Fortuner Legender as a car that is more suited to the urban environment, while the regular variant was naturally made the model suited to tackle the rough stuff.

However, witnessing the demand for the new variant, Toyota has decided to offer the model in 4×4 version as well. Also, the Toyota Fortuner Legender 4×4 could lure customers who originally wanted to buy the Ford Endeavour.

Apart from all 4 wheels being driven, the Legender 4×4 will be the same as the 4×2 variant being powered by a 2755cc, 4-cylinder motor making 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque. The transmission option will be a 6-speed automatic unit.
