Toyota introduces Land Cruiser 300 hybrid in UAE, eyes Australia next year
Toyota has officially unveiled a hybrid variant of the Land Cruiser 300, expanding its portfolio in line with the global shift toward electrification. This new iteration of the iconic SUV combines robust performance with improved efficiency, and will initially be offered in select Middle Eastern markets.
Powertrain and Performance
At the heart of the hybrid Land Cruiser is a 3.4-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine mated to a single electric motor. The electric motor is strategically positioned between the engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission, enabling smooth integration without compromising the SUV’s off-road and towing capabilities. The system delivers a combined output of 450 HP and 790 Nm of torque, figures that place it comfortably among the most powerful variants in the Land Cruiser lineup.
The hybrid powertrain is derived from Toyota’s TNGA-F platform—a modular architecture also used in large Toyota and Lexus models—ensuring a consistent driving experience across the brand’s premium full-size vehicle range.
Features and Market Availability
In addition to mechanical enhancements, the hybrid Land Cruiser 300 includes subtle visual distinctions such as unique badging. The interior is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a 1500-watt power outlet in the boot, designed to enhance convenience for both daily use and outdoor excursions.
The model has made its market debut in the United Arab Emirates, where pricing starts at AED 389,900 (approximately Rs. 91 lakhs). Toyota has confirmed plans to introduce the vehicle in Australia by mid-2026. However, there has been no official word on its availability in North American markets, including the United States.
