Maruti Suzuki to begin supplying their second product with Toyota alliance.

2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza Review Test Drive
Maruti to start supplying Vitara Brezza to Toyota soon

The first product out of the Suzuki-Toyota alliance was the Toyota Glanza based on the Maruti Baleno. It had very few changes, limited to rebadging and minor tweaks.

Now their second product from the alliance will be the Maruti Vitara Brezza. Toyota recently filed a trademark with the name Urban Cruiser. It is most likely the final name of the production car.

Toyota Urban Cruiser launch is expected by August 2020. Maruti Suzuki approved the supply of Vitara Brezza to Toyota recently in a board meeting.

There will be relatively substantial changes unlike the Baleno-Glanza combo. The Toyota Urban Cruiser will get new grille, bumpers and some other soft part changes.

The interior colour scheme will be changed in the Toyota. It is expected to have more premium and light colour graphics than the Brezza.

The Urban Cruiser will get the same 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Brezza. It will be available with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission options.

Toyota is expected to price the Urban Cruiser slightly higher than the Vitara Brezza. The Japanese carmaker will offer 3-year/1,00,000 km standard warranty with the Urban Cruiser.
