2020 TVS Apache RR 310 Review Test Ride
Another vehicle sees its retail price increased by a fair chunk

The TVS Apache RR 310 has seen another price hike, this time to the tune of Rs. 5000/-, taking the overall price of the bike to Rs. 2.45 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The reason for this price hike is unknown and what this does is take the bike perilously close to the more powerful and capable KTM RC 390 that is retailed at Rs. 2.53 lakh (ex-showroom) at present.

No other changes have been made to the bike and thus it comes with a 312.2cc engine that is BS6 compliant producing 34 PS at 9700 RPM and 27.3 Nm at 7700 RPM.

The motorcycle features GTT+ (Glide Through Technology Plus) and four riding modes, namely – Urban, Rain, Sport and Track. Depending upon the mode selected, the theme on the TFT screen also changes.

Further more, TVS has wired in different mapping for the power modes as well. So, if for instance the rider selects either the Rain or Urban modes, power and torque produced by the engine drops by over 8 PS and a little under 2 Nm and rev limit is different too.

Selecting either of the above mentioned riding modes will also see top speed come down to 125 km/hr, while it can actually do 160 km/hr with full power on offer. Basically, the bike has got good electronics to help riders out.

Other features offered on the the TVS Apache RR 310 are throttle-by-wire and the already mentioned TFT screen which is 5-inches in size and comes with Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect.

This is not the first time that we witness a TVS Apache RR 310 price hike this year, as the manufacturer launched the BS6-compliant bike at the beginning of the year at Rs 2.4 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

That was a steep Rs. 12,000/- increase over the BS4 Apache RR 310. Mind you, TVS’ flagship bike does come with a 5-year comprehensive warranty for a hassle-free ownership experience.
