Bajaj has launched the refreshed 2018 Platina in India, priced at Rs. 46,656/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Platina gets LED DRLs above the headlight and an updated design for the instrument cluster. Bajaj had recently launched a new base variant of the Platina, called Platina ES Spoke.

The Pune-based automaker claims that the new Platina is India’s first 100cc bike to sport the LED DRL technology.

The Bajaj Platina continues to draw power from the same 102cc single-cylinder DTS-i motor. Peak power is rated at 7.9 HP and peak torque at 8.3 Nm. This motor comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox and Bajaj claims a mileage of 104 km/l, which is significantly higher than the competition.

The Bajaj Platina is designed keeping in mind comfort of the rider and the pillion. The vehicle gets a longer front and rear suspension. There is a Spring Soft foam seat and footpads at the rear. The commuter bike gets a 130 mm front drum brake and a 110 mm rear drum brake.

The updated Platina tips the scale at 111 kgs (kerb weight) and comes with an 11.5-litre fuel tank capacity.

The bike is offered in a choice of 2 colours – Ebony Black with Silver decals and Cocktail Wine with Red decals.
