Yamaha launches FZ Rave at Rs. 1.17 lakhs with sharper styling updates

Yamaha has expanded its FZ lineup in India with the launch of the new FZ Rave, priced at Rs. 1,17,218 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle retains the mechanical setup of the existing FZ models but introduces refreshed styling and a more city-focused appeal.

Visually, the FZ Rave gets a sharper and cleaner design. Highlights include a full-LED projector headlamp with integrated position light, a sculpted fuel tank with vent-like elements, and a compact exhaust that enhances the bike’s sleek rear profile. The single-piece seat and tidy tail section, complete with a crisp LED tail-light, aim to offer both comfort and style for daily commutes and weekend rides alike.

Powering the motorcycle is Yamaha’s tried-and-tested 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 12.2 BHP, paired with a five-speed gearbox. The focus remains on smooth and refined performance rather than outright aggression, ensuring effortless acceleration and manageable power delivery in city conditions.

Weighing 136 kg, the FZ Rave promises nimble handling and easy manoeuvrability, thanks to its well-balanced chassis and 17-inch wheels. A 13-litre fuel tank adds practicality for longer commutes or short leisure rides.

On the safety front, Yamaha offers single-channel ABS with disc brakes at both ends, enhancing braking confidence on varying surfaces. The instrument cluster maintains a simple and legible layout in line with the brand’s classic FZ character.

The Yamaha FZ Rave is available in two colour options – Matte Titan and Metallic Black – and will be sold as a single variant in the FZ lineup.
