There are certain perks of being the brand ambassador of any company, apart from the responsibilities. Not only do you get associated with the brand, but are also prone to get occasional freebies time-to-time. However if you’ve made certain right choices in life, things you love and adore will be gifted to you free of cost. So, it comes as no surprise that Yamaha India was feeling generous and decided to give its brand ambassador and actor John Abraham a special edition FZ-S FI V2.0.

Christened as the Yamaha FZ-S John Abraham Edition, the street-fighter gets an all-black paint job that is coupled with grey dual-colour theme with decals. The fuel tank also carries the actor’s signature, while the forks too have been finished with the decals, matching the body colour. Mechanically, the John Abraham edition gets no changes and is powered by the same 149cc single-cylinder engine with fuel-injection technology that belts out 13.1 PS of power and 12.8 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed transmission. The new FZ-S also sports a leaner design and offers better performance, being 3 kgs lighter than the older model.

It is not clear though if Yamaha plans to launch the John Abraham edition for regular buyers. However, there could be a possibility that the company might want to launch the same during the festive season. John rides and owns many superbikes (including an Aprilia RSV4) so we doubt if he will even use the FZ. Yamaha also launched the ‘Mission 10,000 km’ expedition that will see 20 riders complete the mentioned distance across the country on the FZ FI 2.O.
