Hyundai Grand i10 Brochure

Hyundai will launch the Grand i10 in India on the 3rd of September, 2013. The Grand i10 is the second generation i10 but will be sold alongside the first gen model in the Indian market. Dealers have started to receive the vehicle and now the brochure has been leaked, revealing the complete technical specifications of the Hyundai Grand i10. The pricing of the car remains unknown as rest of the details are out in the open but we estimate prices to start at around Rs. 4.5 lakhs, putting it bang between the current i10 and i20 in the company’s portfolio.

The Hyundai Grand i10 has a length of 3765 mm, width of 1660 mm and height of 1520 mm. It has a wheelbase of 2425 mm. Powering the Grand i10 will petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre Kappa2 powerplant comes from the existing i10 and i20, producing 83 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 114 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM. The diesel engine is the 1.1-litre U2 engine which produces 71 PS of power at 4000 RPM and 160 Nm of torque between 1500-2750 RPM. Both engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai will offer the Grand i10 in 5 variants – Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). It will come in 8 colour options namely black, brown, beige, orange, red, white, blue and silver. The interiors will feature two-tone finish of black and beige. Hyundai has offered push button start, tilt steering and rear AC vents on the Sportz variant onwards. The top-end Asta and Asta (O) will get alloy wheels as standard while the option pack on the Asta will get you ABS and front airbags. The Grand i10 does look promising on the spec sheet.
