Renault Lodgy India
The Lodgy will go on sale in April this year as Renault’s next major offering

Expected to be the next volume spinner for Renault India, the Lodgy MPV is all set to hit the showrooms across the country as the newest competitor to the Toyota Innova and Honda Mobilio. While the top-of-the-line Stepway variant has already been revealed, these new images sent by our reader Rahul Appina reveal the regular version of the Lodgy while also be sharing the engine specifications and equipment list that will be offered on the MPV.

Compared to the Stepway variant, the regular Renault Lodgy gets a conventional bumper minus the brushed silver skid plate at the front and rear, side plastic body cladding and silver roof rails. The chrome induced grille along with chrome side claddings is specific to the Indian market. The interior gets a two-tone finish in brown and beige colours while the centre console is finished in piano black. The seats are upholstered in two-tone perforated leather while the chrome bezels on the three-dial instrument cluster and air-con vents add the premium touch to the cabin.

In terms of features, the India spec Renault Lodgy comes loaded on the range-topping RxZ variant with steering mounted controls, power windows, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, USB, AUX connectivity; and tray tables with integrated cupholders for the second-row passengers. You also get a rearview camera with reverse parking sensors while the roof mounted air-con vents for the second and third-row passengers are an India specific addition to the MPV. Each row gets two bottle holders.

Powering the Renault Lodgy is the same 1.5-litre dCi four-cylinder diesel engine that also powers the Duster SUV. Like the Duster, the engine is offered in 85 PS and 110 PS of power outputs with the former paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the latter paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. There is no automatic transmission on offer; while a petrol engine has also been given a miss. The Lodgy will be launched in the country in April this year with prices expected to start at around Rs. 7.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
