KTM Duke & RC 200 duo are back again in the list

In May, 2022, 200-500cc bike sales, the newly launched Suzuki V-Strom SX is among the top sellers

May, 2022, has become a perfect home coming month for many key models in the 200-500cc bike sales. After a long period of low sales, Bajaj Pulsar NS and RS 200 are back again setting the sales chart on fire.

As usual, Royal Enfield Classic 350 has turned out to be the segment best, selling a tad below 30k units. The Classic has also witnessed triple digit growth this time. It was distantly followed by the Bullet 350 and Bullet 350 ES duo which registered more than 10k sales.

After suffering continuous de-growth since February, Meteor 350 is back to its best performance. It has sold a humongous 8209 units with a YoY growth of 143 percent. It has widened its gap with the Classic Legends’ offerings.

At number 4, the Bajaj Pulsar NS and RS 200 have registered phenomenal sales after a long hiatus. They are back to their heyday sales and what better home coming they can get! The duo have posted a staggering growth of 366 percent.

The Classic Legends’ Yezdi and Jawa series followed the Bajaj duo at number 5. Though they are slightly down on MoM sales, they have nearly held their place against the rivals.

Suzuki V-Strom SX Champion Yellow Price
Suzuki V-Strom SX has had a healthy start

Hero Xpulse 200 series, Honda H’ness CB350 and CB350RS duo, and Royal Enfield Himalayan and Scram 411 duo took the next 3 spots. It was a fierce battle between the 3 and there’s little to differentiate in their sales.

Suzuki’s latest-kid-on-the-block, V-Strom SX, has found a place in this list. Selling 1729 units in May, it has witnessed a healthy start. But, Suzuki’s lack of reach could be a big downer for the all-new yellow. Let’s wait and watch its performance in the coming months.

At number 10, KTM Duke and RC 200 duo are back to square one recording their usual sales. Like their Bajaj 200 cousins, May has turned out to be a perfect home coming for the popular KTMs.
