Although Hyundai will never disclose any new car in the pipeline but the new Verna (RB saloon) is very near. The 2011 Hyundai Verna was spotted by ACI reader Naveen Kumar inside, Hyundai’s own plant in Chennai. The car is already in production and the spy pics should the Verna badge to be intact. The front is similar to the new i10, although the global model has a slightly different nose. With the Maruti SX4 Diesel around the corner, Hyundai is just waiting to spoil Maruti Suzuki’s diesel party.



The dual tone interior of the 2011 Verna RB gets a massive upgrade and features push start/stop, electronic folding side mirrors, automatic climate control,parking sensors, bluetooth enabled music system, audio controls on the steering wheel, dual airbags and some chrome. To be powered by a new 1.6 liter petrol motor and a 1.4 diesel engine (from the i20 diesel), the Verna will paired to a six-speed manual and an automatic gearbox (in all variants). Prices will start at Rs. 6.50 lakhs, going all the way to Rs. 9.5 lakhs for the top of the line diesel variant.
