The Verna 1.4 diesel will be available in two trims

Hyundai has added another engine option in its C-segment offering, the Verna. The Korean carmaker has launched the Verna 1.4 diesel and this will be offered in two variants the E and EX trims. The E and EX trims are the entry-level variants of Verna diesel.

The Hyundai Verna is one of the popular choices in the C-segment and it has been in the list of top 25 most selling cars in the month of August and September of this year but unfortunately, it slipped from the October’s list just by a small margin. With these more affordable diesel variants, we expect it to sell in good numbers.

These diesel variants will have the same features as their petrol siblings. The 1.4-litre diesel engine is the same that powers the Elite i20 and i20 Active. This engine produces 89 BHP and 220 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The E and EX trims are priced at Rs. 9.29 lakhs and Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
