Skoda has released the official promotional video of the CitiGo, which showcases the small car in real day to day situations. The CitiGo is nothing but a re-badged Volkswagen Up!, with Skoda styling. Skoda will be launching the CitiGo in its home town in Czech Republic soon and will follow it with an European launch by the end of the year. The company is yet to confirm the India launch of the Skoda CitiGo yet, but various sources point to a release in the later half of 2012.

The Skoda CitiGo is powered by a 1.0-liter, petrol motor which produces 59 PS of peak power. The diesel engine from the Fabia will make its debut on the CitiGo in India, as we are a diesel loving nation. With a lenght of just 3.56 meters, the CitiGo might not be a long car by small car standards, but the man maximum and machine minimum approch leads the car class-leading space. Currently the Volkswagen owned company has only showcassed a 3-door version, which will never make it to India. A 5-door version of the CitiGo will be unveiled soon, and will play a key role in increasing sales for the company in Asian markets.
