The 2015 Ford Figo hatchback and sedan are undergoing rigorous testing and have been spotted yet again. The interiors carry a theme similar to the Fiesta and EcoSport.
Ford India will be launching three new vehicles this year. The next generation Figo hatchback, Figo sedan and the new Endeavour SUV will be introduced in the Indian auto market. Spy pictures of the next generation Figo are doing the rounds on the web since a very long time now. Ford seems to be testing both the hatchback and sedan thoroughly to make sure that the vehicles are niggle-free when launched. Both the respective segments, i.e. hatchback and compact sedan have a lot of volumes each month and hence these two vehicles are going to be very important for Ford’s future in India, without any doubt. The 2015 Figo twins have been spied again and this time we have a closer look at their interiors.
The next generation Ford Figo twins will carry interiors that are largely inspired by the EcoSport and Fiesta. As evident from the pictures, the overall layout of the dashboard is very similar to that of the Fiesta. Ford has still made many changes though. The steering wheel looks like a redesigned unit and the instrument cluster will also be mildly updated. The centre console gets a nice looking piano-black finish surrounding the audio system controls. At the top of the dashboard, we see a pop-out storage bin which seems to have a mobile phone holder integrated too. Both the front and rear seats get adjustable head-rests.
Ford might offer the interiors in two different colour schemes – black/grey and beige, depending on the variants. The 2015 Ford Figo twins will carry similar styling like the Fiesta at the front. The Figo hatchback looks like a proper European vehicle while the Figo sedan stands out among other compact sedans in this segment. The top variants will get alloy wheels that look similar to the ones on the EcoSport while the base variants will get basic steel rims and wheel covers in a similar design. The 2015 Ford Figo sedan will be launched in July while the hatchback will be launched in September.
