The Toyota Rush facelift was launched in April 2015 and the automaker has added two new variants namely TRD Sportivo 7 and Ultimo.
Toyota launched the 2016 Rush TRD Sportivo 7 and Ultimo variants in Indonesia at a price between Rp. 233 million to Rp. 262.45 million (Rs. 11.3-13.44 lakhs). The new variants are based on the Rush facelift launched in April last year and the Ultimo is the top-of-the-line variant.
The Toyota Rush TRD Sportivo 7 and Ultimo are 7-seater variants and will take on the likes of the new Honda BR-V. The new variants feature a dual-tone front fascia with the new grille finished by a red line on top along with carbon-fibre finishes under the grille. The projector headlamps and LED tail lights are the same as the standard variant while the Rush gets new 16-inch alloy wheels.
On the sides of the Toyota Rush, there are red coloured decals with TRD Sportivo written on them. Other than this, both the models get the aero kit with new bumpers, side skirts and a new rear spoiler. The major update comes in the form of suspension that is specially designed by Toyota engineers and TRD officials to provide a comfortable drive in the driving conditions of Indonesia.
The list of updates on the inside includes new steering wheel, seat upholstery, newly designed instrument cluster, etc. The Toyota Rush TRD Sportivo models are powered by the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, VVT-i engine that produces 109 PS and 141 Nm of torque which is offered with an option of 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission.
