The 2017 Maruti Swift will be revealed in Japan soon and its brochure has been leaked.
The next generation Swift is a highly anticipated car and people have been getting anxious to know more and more details about it. The vehicle is likely to be unveiled in Japan on 27th December 2016 but a complete brochure of the car has been leaked and it reveals a lot of details.
As seen in the pictures, the exteriors and interiors of the car have gone a step up and the new Swift looks classy and sporty this time around too. The interior looks really nice and comes with a flat-bottom steering wheel, twin pod instrument cluster, MID, new centre console with new AC controls and a touchscreen infotainment system.
In Japan, the Swift will be offered in 3 variants – XL, XG and Hybrid. Apart from this, the vehicle will also be offered in RS trims – RS, RSt and Hybrid RS. The RS trims will come with a body kit and red accents on the grille. The Japanese variants get the 1.0-litre BoosterJet and and 1.2-litre petrol engines.
The 2017 Maruti Swift will be launched in India during the festive season next year. Engine options are likely to remain unchanged for the Indian market but we can expect Maruti to offer SHVS tech and AMT gearbox on the hatchback. The Swift will compete with the Ford Figo and it will be a cherry on the cake if the automaker launches the RS variant in India.
