The new design language of the Swift siblings will get a sporty appearance both inside out. The interior layout will be similar but the DZire will get lighter colour tones for a good sense of space. There will be new features on offer including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto among other gadgetry.
Engine options for the new gen DZire will include the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel. Maruti is developing a new 1.5-litre diesel engine in-house but it’s utilisation in the new Swift siblings is not yet confirmed. However, the DZire will come with both 5-speed manual and AMT options.
Maruti has postponed the launch of the new Ignis and Baleno RS. The two hatchbacks will be launched in early 2017 and post that they will be working on the Swift siblings.
