TVS has launched its entry level commuter, the TVS Sport with AHO feature as well as a BS4 engine.
TVS has given the Sport, a BS4 engine and has also updated it with AHO (Auto-Headlamp On) for 2017. That’s not all, the 2017 Sport also gets an Econometer and a larger fuel tank.
At the heart is a 99.77cc four-stroke engine termed Duramill and is mated to a 4-speed transmission. The engine of the TVS Sport makes 7.8 BHP of max power and 7.8 Nm of peak torque. At the front, there are telescopic forks while at the rear, the bike uses twin shocks. The Sport is available with a 12-litre petrol tank and a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 95 kilometres to the litre which means literally lesser stops at the fuel station (as its tagline goes, “Mileage ka Baap!”).
Braking duties are via drum setup both at the front as well as the rear. The motorbike is available in both kick as well as a self-start variant, and will come in 7 colours, namely Black Silver, Indigo Streak, Mercury Grey, Blaze Red, Volcano Red, Dazzling White and Electric Green. The TVS Sport is priced at Rs. 37,580/- for the kickstart and spoke wheel trim, Rs. 43,234/- for the kickstart and alloy wheel trim and Rs. 46,924/- for the self-start and alloy wheel trim (ex-showroom, Delhi).
