The new Racing Red colour scheme is available at no extra cost

Having introduced the updated Avenger, Dominar 400 and Discover range in the country recently, it is evident that Bajaj Auto is in the process of refreshing its lineup in India for 2018. The domestic automaker has now launched the Pulsar RS 200 Racing Red Edition which is available at a price of Rs. 1.23 lakhs for the non-ABS trim and Rs. 1.35 lakhs for the ABS variant. (Both prices ex-showroom, Delhi)

There are no changes to the overall design or the mechanicals. Instead, what the Racing Red Edition gets is a new paint scheme with neatly done graphics and red paint on the front alloy wheel. The motorcycle does look quite attractive in this new avatar and the company anticipates a rise in demand with this small update. A camouflaged test mule sporting a similar red paint scheme was also spotted a couple of months back.

Last year, Bajaj had introduced two new shades – Racing Blue and Graphite Black – for the flagship Pulsar when BS4 update was implemented. Besides single-channel ABS, the motorcycle gets many features such as twin projector headlamps and LED blinkers. The RS 200 draws power from a 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected motor that puts out 24.5 PS of power and 18.6 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
