The 2018 Honda Aviator has been updated with new features and a new paint scheme.
Following up the launch of the Honda Activa i, the company has now updated its Aviator model. The 2018 Honda Aviator has prices starting at Rs. 55,157/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is Rs. 1405/- more than the outgoing model. The scooter now gets more features and a new paint pearl spartan red paint job.
The 2018 Honda Aviator now gets a LED headlight along with a metal muffler protector, a front hook and retractable rear hook that adds to the convenience bit of the scooter. The new paint pearl spartan red paint job is added to the existing three colours which are the pearl igneous black, matte selene silver metallic and pearl amazing white.
Mechanically, the 2018 Honda Aviator continues to be powered by the same 109cc engine which is also found on the Honda Activa i. The air-cooled, single-cylinder motor churns out 8 HP at 7000 RPM and 8.94 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM and is mated to a 5-speed, V-Matic gearbox. Suspension duties are carried out by a telescopic front fork and a monoshock unit at the back.
The 2018 Honda Aviator comes in three trims, Drum, Drum Alloy and Disc which are priced at Rs. 55,157/-, Rs. 57,092/- and Rs. 59,511/- respectively (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). Combination braking system with equaliser is standard to ensure a shorter braking distance with more stability. The equalizer provides you with the right balance while braking.
The Honda Aviator has always been a bigger scooter compared to the Honda Activa. It is bought by people who want more space and a bigger seat for that added comfort. The scooter has always sold in good numbers and the 2018 Honda Aviator with its added features should experience the same faith.
