The Activa-i Deluxe and 2015 Aviator scooters get cosmetic updates and new colours, while the mechanicals of these Honda scooters continue to remain the same.
Having introduced majority of the 15 products planned for the year, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has now launched the 2015 Activa-i Deluxe and Aviator scooters in the country with several updates for the 2015 model year. The Japanese automaker has also announced actor Tapsee Pannu as its brand ambassador for scooters in India. With the latest update, the Honda Activa-i gets a new Deluxe variant and is available in two new colour options including Orchid Purple as well as Pearl Amazing white.
Changes on the 2015 Honda Activa-i include a new purple inner body cover and footboard as well as floral graphics on the side panels in a bid to entice female buyers. The scooter gets improved seating, tubeless tyres, new hugger fender for the rear tyre and a gloss black finished exhaust muffler as part of the list of changes. Power continues to come from the same 109.2cc single-cylinder engine churning out 8 BHP at 7500 RPM and 8.74 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM, paired to a V-Matic auto transmission. The scooter returns 60 km/l (as per Honda tests) with HET adopted to the engine.
The 2015 Honda Aviator gets cosmetic updates over the outgoing version and is available in four colours namely Pearl White, Autumn Beige, Black and Alpha Red. The scooter continues with the existing mechanicals and power continues to come from a 109.2cc motor tuned to produce 8 BHP at 7000 RPM and 8.77 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM, paired to a V-Matic automatic transmission. Talking about future launches for the year, Honda has conveyed that the highly awaited CBR650F will be hitting the showrooms sometime in the month of August this year while the CB Twister replacement the ‘Livo’ will also make it to the market later this year.
