In terms of design and looks, the 2018 Rush adopts a more MPV crossover design language. The grille is finished in black and is flanked by LED headlights on either side. The crossover gets LED tail-lights as well.

The interior gets a dual-tone black and beige dashboard with soft-touch materials that lend a premium feel. The instrument console gets blue and white backlighting and a multi-information display. A 7-inch touchscreen AVN with Miracast and Weblink capabilities is housed in the centre console. Toyota offers the Rush in two variants – G and TRD Sportivo. The TRD Sportivo gets cosmetic enhancements like TRD badged scuff plates with red highlights, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, side moulding, black fog lamp garnishes and TRD badge on the rear door. The G trim in comparison gets 16-inch alloy wheels.

Powering the vehicle is a 2NR-VE, four-cylinder, Dual VVT-i petrol motor that develops 104 PS and 136 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission (for the G variant) while the TRD Sportivo variant is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Expect Toyota to price the 2018 Rush TRD Sportivo at approximately IDR 300 million (approximately Rs. 14.38 lakhs). The Toyota Rush isn’t likely to be launched in the Indian market
