The 2018 Volkswagen Polo has definitely grown in size. This is the largest Polo ever measuring 4053 mm in length, 1446 mm in height and 1751 mm in width. The hatchback has been showcased at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show and what you see here is the Beats variant (the one with the Beats Sound System).

The wheelbase in the 2018 Volkswagen Polo has increased by 94 mm resulting in a bigger interior and rear seat space (not too much either, could have been even better). The boot space too has gone up by 35-litres. Looks-wise, the hatchback looks sophisticated when compared to the previous generation cars. There are LED DRLs and chrome treatment given to the grille and the lower bumper. A contrast roof and ORVMs add to the appeal of the car. The tail-lights get the LED treatment.

The sixth generation Volkswagen Polo features a new interior. The dashboard layout is new and the orange accents in the centre console and across the dashboard make the cabin a lively and an airy place. Music needs are taken care by a touchscreen infotainment system that comes paired with a Beats Sound System. Then there are other features like multi-function steering wheel, multi-information display, automatic climate control and front and rear parking sensors.

The 2018 Volkswagen Polo will be offered in petrol and diesel engines. The petrol line-up includes a 1.0-litre (in naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions), a 1.5-litre TSI and a 2.0-litre unit. Coming to the diesel, the range will have a 1.6-litre engine in two different states of tunes (80 HP and 95 HP versions).

Available in 5 trims – Trendline, Comfortline, Highline, Beats and R-line, the 2018 Volkswagen Polo comes with a host of safety technology like Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Speed Limiter and Front Assist with City Emergency Braking, etc.
