Maruti Suzuki has hit our screens with teasers about the next gen Ertiga. With small clips showing individual features, Maruti has made us think that this car may be the talk of the MPV segment.

The next gen Ertiga will replace the older model which has been on sale since 2012. With improved features and comfortable spacing, this MPV is ready to take on the Mahindra Marazzo. The styling is slightly different compared to the one on sale in Indonesia. The Ertiga will also be bigger with the new Heartect platform, which is claimed to have enhanced overall safety and rigidity.

The teaser also showcases a K-15 petrol engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology. The engine, Maruti claims, will give you stunning performance while improving the driving experience for the person at the wheels.

There are always those people who always end up sitting in the cramped third row seats. Ertiga has now introduced reclining seats for all passengers in the car and even those who end up in the third row of seats.

Other new features you can see from the outside are the projector headlamps, chrome-studded grille and LED tail lamps. The headlamps look sleek. The chrome studded grille further adds to the style quotient on the car.

The interiors feature lots of space, as shown in another video. The dashboard is sculpted with a wooden finish for the premium touch. The touchscreen infotainment system will come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It will also get push button start/stop with keyless entry.

The vehicle is longer to accommodate more space and make the MPV more practical. The Ertiga will be available in five colours – a new pearl metallic auburn red, standard grey, blue, white and silver.
