K-ZE inspired styling is featured on the facelifted version of the 2019 Renault Kwid.

Renault Kwid Spied
The 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engines will comply with the BS6 norms

The test mule of the 2019 Renault Kwid is seen to have design inspiration taken from the Kwid K-ZE electric car. The car comes with a sleek front fascia with sharp LED DRLs running above the main headlamp unit, similar to the design bits on the Kwid K-ZE. The overall silhouette and design language will remain the same but there will by revised styling bits.

The car spotted on the test is wrapped in heavy camouflage except for the roof. The roof is seen to sport a maroon colour, along with same coloured spoiler. The car seems to carry its SUV-like stance with flamboyant wheel arches and a bulky exterior. The rims are steel hubs with wheel caps on it and we do not see a lot of changes done to the car. Although, the rear bumper and the tail lights are expected to get some changes to it. We can expect some new features along with visual changes inside the car.

The Kwid facelift will be offered with the same engine options, 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines. These engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT. These engines will be BS6 compliant when launched in the market. The updated Kwid will comply with the new safety norms too. The main competitor of the Kwid is the Maruti Alto.
