The Creta’s new generation gets massive changes inside out

The 2020 Hyundai Creta’s launch is just around the corner. Ahead of its launch in India, the details of the 2020 model have been revealed along with its colour options. Under the skin, the 2020 Hyundai Creta is very similar to Hyundai’s ix25 sold in the Chinese market. It now gets a refreshed exterior design, new interiors, and more features.

There are a total of 14 variants and 10 colour options with the new Hyundai Creta. As usual, the variant names follow Hyundai’s nomenclature. The range starts from the base E variant and goes all the way to the range-topping SX(O) variant. The other variants include the likes of EX, S, and SX.

When it comes to colour options, there are now 7 single tone colour options and 2 dual-tone options. The single tone colour options include Phantom Black, Lava Orange, Polar White, Galaxy Blue, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, and Mulberry Red. Dual-tone colour options include Orange with Black roof and White with Black roof.

The engine options include a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 115 HP and 145 Nm of torque and 1.4-litre turbo petrol producing 140 HP and 242 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine is good for 115 HP and 250 Nm of torque. All these engines are now BS6 compliant. Transmission duties are handled by a manual, torque convertor automatic, CVT, and a DCT depending on the engine chosen.

The 2020 Hyundai Creta will rival the Kia Seltos and MG Hector. The Hyundai Creta was the segment leader for a very long time until recently as it lost its position to the Kia Seltos.
