The next-gen Mahindra Thar has been spotted with a refreshed and a more upright stance.
The new Mahindra Thar has been spotted again and it is seen to have a wider body than the current version. The new body gets Jeep Wrangler-like styling to make it more appealing to the crowds. Moreover, it gets newly redesigned bumpers as well to complement the overall look of the vehicle. A new soft top has also been seen on the vehicle.
The interiors show a new dashboard design. The steering wheel on the car is similar to the one on the TUV300 and it also gets steering-mounted controls. It may also get a touchscreen infotainment system that will be featured on the top-spec variants. The seats have also been changed to enhance comfort, and adding to the look of the interiors are the revamped AC vents.
The new Mahindra Thar will be safer and will comply with the upcoming safety norms. It will get features like airbags, ABS and rear parking sensors as required by the upcoming safety norms. The car will get all new 2.0-litre diesel engine that complies with the BS6 emission norms. It is expected to produce around 140 BHP and will be offered with a low range gearbox for 4×4 version as well.
