Bentley has launched the 2021 Bentayga in India with a mammoth price tag of Rs. 4.10 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Revealed in July last year, the facelift version of the luxury SUV is the first model to be introduced under the British brand’s Beyond100 business strategy.

First introduced in 2015, over 20,000 examples of the original Bentayga were sold worldwide and Bentley calls it the fastest, most luxurious and versatile SUV in the world.

Building on such attributes, the 2021 Bentayga, offered with the V8 engine in India, has new matrix radiator grille, revised bumper, LED matrix headlamps and heated windscreen wipers. While the changes might seem subtle, this brings the car in line with other latest Bentley products’ design.

At the back is where the changes have been drastic. The track width has been increased by 20 mm at the rear and there is now a full-width tailgate featuring revised lamps. Completing the set of changes are the new wheels.

Inside, when one pays the 2021 Bentley Bentayga price, he or she would get a new steering wheel, an interior with new diamond brushed aluminum finish trim and new seats. While there is increased rear legroom, the infotainment system has been upgraded too.

Accessed through a 10.9-inch touchscreen, the infotainment system has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and “My Bentley” connected services.

Power comes from a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that develops a maximum of 542 BHP and 770 Nm of peak torque. Despite being a luxury SUV, the Bentayga can do the 0-100 km/hr run in 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 290 km/hr.
