2021 Mahindra XUV500 Prototype Headlight
Front profile gets a huge grille along with new LED headlights

2021 Mahindra XUV500 production spec prototype has been spotted on test. The new generation SUV has started taking its shape ahead of its launch in Q1 2021.

Until now we saw a bunch of test mules with dummy lights and body parts. However, this time around the new XUV500 looks very close to its final production shape.

It is now spotted with a new set of LED headlights along with a humongous grille. It comes with a revised rear with sleek LED tail lights, restyled tailgate and bumper.

The overall design now looks more simple and mature compared to the busy styling of the outgoing model. However, there are still some bits that’ll remind you of the current model like the exaggerated haunch behind the C-pillar.

Expect a range of new segment-first features on offer including flush-type door handles that’ll retract when you unlock the car.

The interior will feature new steering wheel, digital cluster, infotainment system, new speakers, ventilated seats, wireless charger and many more tech-laden equipment.

A 2.2-litre 180 HP diesel engine is expected to be offered along with a new 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine with around 190 HP power output. It will be available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
