Bookings for the 2022 Maruti XL6 can be done for a token amount of Rs. 11,000/-
Maruti Suzuki has announced the commencement of bookings for the 2022 XL6 at an initial payment of Rs. 11,000/- which can be done either at the brand’s Nexa chain of retail outlets or online.
The top automaker of the nation is expected to launch the 6-seat MPV later this month, shortly after the updated Ertiga (on which the XL6 is based) goes on sale in the market.
Although the exterior styling of the car is likely to stay pretty much the same, save for a restyled grille and new alloy wheels, inside, Maruti was expected to give it a bigger touchscreen.
But, since the refreshed Ertiga is set to come with a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment touchscreen, the XL6 too will, in all likelihood, get the same unit. Maruti does say the car will come with connected technology, thus at least its equipment list seems to have grown.
Under the bonnet, Maruti will plonk a new 1.5-litre ‘Dual Jet’ petrol engine with ‘Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology’. The new motor will be more powerful and should also be more fuel efficient than the outgoing unit.
Also new will be the 6-speed torque converter automatic that replaces the 4-speed unit offered with the pre-facelift XL6. The 5-speed manual will continue to be on offer as well.
With the 2022 Maruti XL6 bookings having begun, and the model teased on social media already, all that is left for the brand to do is reveal the MPV along with its complete price list.
