BYD updates the 2025 Seal and Atto 3 in India with new features
BYD has launched the 2025 Seal sedan in India at a starting price of Rs. 41 lakhs (ex-showroom), alongside introducing updates for its Atto 3 electric SUV. Both models receive a set of new features aimed at enhancing comfort, convenience and overall ownership experience.
BYD Seal: What’s New for 2025
The BYD Seal lineup for 2025 now features updates to both equipment and mechanicals. Notably, the mid-spec Premium RWD variant is now equipped with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) — a technology earlier reserved for the top-spec Performance AWD variant. Meanwhile, the Performance trim benefits from BYD’s DiSus-C system, which adjusts suspension settings dynamically based on road conditions, driving style and vehicle inputs to optimise ride comfort and handling.
Across all variants, the Seal now comes standard with a powered sunshade, replacing the earlier accessory-based solution. Other feature additions include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an upgraded air conditioning and purification system and a new Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) low-voltage battery. BYD claims the LFP battery is significantly lighter than conventional lead-acid units and offers a lifespan of up to 15 years.
The updated pricing for the 2025 Seal is as follows:
Variant | Price (Ex-showroom) |
---|---|
Dynamic RWD | Rs. 41 Lakhs |
Premium RWD | Rs. 45.70 Lakhs |
Performance AWD | Rs. 53.15 Lakhs |
While the base Dynamic RWD variant maintains its price, the Premium RWD and Performance AWD see a modest increase of Rs. 15,000 each.
Updates to the 2025 BYD Atto 3
Alongside the Seal, BYD has refreshed the Atto 3 electric SUV for the 2025 model year. The most noticeable interior change is the shift to an all-black cabin theme, moving away from the previous three-tone design. Ventilated front seats are now part of the package, aiming to improve occupant comfort, especially in warmer climates.
Like the Seal, the Atto 3 also adopts the new LFP low-voltage battery, replacing the earlier lead-acid battery for improved efficiency and longevity.
Pricing for the 2025 Atto 3 starts at Rs. 24.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the first 3000 units of the Dynamic variant, which features a 49.92kWh battery pack. The Premium and Superior variants, offering a larger 60.48kWh battery, are priced at Rs. 29.85 lakhs and Rs. 33.99 lakhs, respectively.
